Lead Teacher

Ms. Chris

Christine or Chris, as we call her, has worked with young children for 15 years in a child care setting. Ms. Chris worked with a myriad of age groups before coming to Holly Oak Child Care Center a little over a year ago. Many of you may know Chris as “Vincent’s and Julie’s mom.”

During the early afternoon, Chris spends time planning activities for the toddler children. She can also be found dancing, reading stories and making artistic messes with her toddlers.

Ms. Chris loves her Friday cooking activities. Toddler favorites include cookies and peach pockets! She is also a great “go to” teacher for potty training help! The children know that Ms. Chris is an expert at doing the potty dance cheer.

Before moving into the field of education, Chris obtained an Associates degree in Office Systems. However, being a people person, Ms. Chris found herself enrolling in classes for child care. She has over 300 clock hours! Ms Chris also completed TECE I and TECE II training, CPR, First Aid and Medication.

During her free time, Chris loves to bowl. She is a volunteer coach for her son Vincent’s baseball team. Chris also helps out with The Boy Scouts of America Program.  When she is not outdoors, playing, hiking or camping, Chris will snuggle up at home with a good book. She is currently reading all of the James Patterson books.

Ms. Sandee spends her day “taking care of babies.” She chuckles and says that her current job is much like the one she had managing at the hotel! She also teaches the children colors, sings and dances. Ms. Sandee loves teaching rhymes and classic finger plays to the young toddlers.

When she is not at the Center, Sandee spends time with her husband and grandchildren. She also likes to spend time with her best friend Gail, whom she has known since birth. The two friends still live just a few blocks apart.

Sandee loves cooking and renovating. She is knowledgeable in how to drywall, paint and decorate. Ms. Sandee just completed a remodel of her family room at home!
